CEAMaS, the first step towards a European Centre of Resources on sediments management and reuse
The aim of CEAMaS is to bring about a major improvement regarding the widespread beneficial re-use of dredged marine sediments. Education and training are key in this process.
CEAMaS focuses on education and training supports & tools to capitalise on the CEAMaS results as well as other projects’ findings regarding sediments management and reuse applications.
As a first step for a European Resource Centre on sediment management and reuse applications, training actions and supports have been developed under this INTERREG IVB program and will be continued and updated within the planned EU Resource Centre which will be based on a European development of the French www.sedilab.com resource centre.
A program of webinars covering the following specialities is hoped to be developed after the CEAMaS project with this future EU resource centre:
- Civil engineering / landscaping
- Mining industry / Mineral processing / Geology
- Chemistry / Ecotoxicity
- Ports authorities and waterways operators
- Waste management
- Geography and social science
Within the CEAMaS project, a first set of webinar material has been developed and is available for free download for non-commercial use only. Your feedback for the evolution of this training platform are welcome.
